Fantasy Football?

Okay, so it may be a fantasy to think that Clay Matthews would be hanging out with me and discussing throwing a Packers party, but that doesn’t mean I can’t still have an awesome party and that I don’t have a few tricks up my sleeve. 🙂

We happened to be huge football fans in our house, especially when it comes to the Badgers and the Packers. Naturally, we had to have a Packers party at our house, especially since we have a huge screen for viewing the game. It’s all about necessities here folks – necessities.

Speaking of, the fam and I headed off to Family Dollar for our game day necessities trip. We can always find everything we need right in one place, and the kids are a huge help when I take them shopping. They made sure to help me pick out everything we needed.

Pre-party planning

Baby girl knows that for any good party, you should probably get your house spiffied up a bit beforehand.

The hubster also knows that you should probably please the wife when it comes to looking and smelling good because if we are gonna have a bunch of people over it doesn’t need to smell like a pit (pun intended).  😯

Don’t forget during the party; I’m sure messes will be had — somebody is gonna need to clean those up. Baby girl has a great idea on how.

After the fun has been had and the game has been won (we all know the Packers are gonna win – it’s inevitable), take care of all those dirty clothes and linens. Because really, putting it off just means more to do before your next party. 😉

Getting ready for game-day

We totally didn’t forget the snack items. I love me some Pepsi, and chips are always a party staple. Who doesn’t love chips? Hubby also had to put some batteries in our new TV receiver remote so it’s a good thing we grabbed some extra batteries while at Family Dollar!

Enjoying Game Day!

When the big game finally arrives, here is what I love!

Cracking open an ice cold Pepsi….

grabbing some Tostitos,

eating some fancy cupcakes that I may or may not have baked and decorated myself,

then sitting back and enjoying as the Packers whoop some butt!

Down here they are crazy college football fans. I like to watch games with chips, dip, bbq wings, and lots of non alcohol drinks.

I would have all my friends and family over and have the biggest bbq you ever seen with lots of brats and chicken wings as well as lots of finger foods and soda and tea! I would have a great cookie cake made with all the teams playing on it and have the tv set up outside with a great fire going to roast marshmallows on why we watch the game.

My Fantasy game day would include my family & extended family. I would leave appetizers up to my daughter & my husband. Our family moto seems to have evolved to “It’s all about the sides.” I would buy a Packer ice cream cake & we’d all enjoy the game!!
