Don’t get stuck with a rinky-dink rink, play like you mean it!

I would like to extend my gratitude to Carrom for sponsoring this post.

Do you and your family love to play games? Are you thrilled by a little friendly competition, or do you prefer a casual game where you can hone your skills? In either case, you are gonna love this table top air hockey game by Carrom that we just received!

When the box first arrived my son was ecstatic. He wanted to immediately tear into the box and start playing; unfortunately we had some other priorities that day so he had to wait a bit. Waiting is a hard thing to do for a child full of excitement – and this kid was excited! He told me, “oh how awesome, now we won’t have to go somewhere to play, and we won’t have to pay either (at the arcade).”

Once we finally found some time to get the game out of the box and get it set up, we of course brought it to a party with us. It is so lightweight that you can take it anywhere and play!

Seriously, challenge family and friends whenever and wherever you want on this table top Air Powered Hockey Game! The convenient size allows for storage between play times, yet big enough to get a full-size game experience.

It is meant for table tops or floors; we decided to use it on the floor to start with as it was the easiest to do for us. The table has adjustable risers on the legs so you can really use it anywhere and get a level playing surface.

Once we had it set up, my son and a friend dove right in. Ping. Clank. Ping. Look at that puck flying across the table!

The airflow in the table was great and the puck glided across smoothly. My son really enjoyed playing, and I even challenged him to a couple of games. Teaching him the finer methods of guarding his goal was a lot of fun for me, and whenever he scored he was pretty darn good at trash-talking me (within reason of course ).

Scorekeeping is really easy with the built in manual scoring system.

The table itself is constructed of high quality material, and includes a return tray on each end.

I get a little competitive when I play games like this so the only thing I had to remember was to take it a little easy on my five year old daughter until she gets the hang of it a little better.

What did we think of the Carrom Air Powered Hockey game?

I think you can tell we loved it. The kids love playing it, I love playing with them. This truly is a great game for the family.

The only improvement I can see that may need to be made is to make the legs a little sturdier. The legs themselves are made of plastic, and while they work, I am fearful of them breaking or cracking if we get a little too rough – which is known to happen around our house.

Yes, it is great. I can lift it myself easily, but I do prefer someone on each end just so I don’t end up dropping it, lol.

My son is much older than yours but would still love to have his. We’ve always enjoyed playing air hockey.

This looks like a good one for younger kids. I’m glad you showed a picture of your son playing it. I think for older kids, the table would be too small.

      Hi Anne-Marie,
I probably should have shown the picture of me playing with him as the table really is great for older kids too (perhaps I’ll update the post, lol). We did put it on the floor to make it easier for the little kids, but it is designed to sit on top of a table, which would then of course raise the height of this to where it is really like having an actual air-hockey table. It isn’t full size by any means, but I found it quite enjoyable to play — and I’m a pretty competitive person. 🙂

My kids are a little too young to appreciate a great arcade game, but my husband and I get extremely competitive over Tekken. We both play the characters with our names (Nina and Bryan) and it gets pretty ugly. lol

Yeah, I’m pretty competitive too. I think once my kids are a bit older things will start to get ugly around here too, lol.

My husband and I are BIG air hockey fans! I would love to have a full-size table, but that wouldn’t fit in our home. I’d settle for this table-top one!
