Drinking more water – (weeks 4 and 5)

I’ve been a little busy over the past couple of weeks and I didn’t have a chance to put up my progress report last week (for week 3). We actually took a little mini-vacation (if you are a regular you know we celebrated my son’s birthday by going to a water park).

The trip was fun, but it doesn’t make for a very easy time sticking to water drinking. In fact, I think week 3 is almost a bust. I can’t say it was completely bad as I did drink water 2 out of the 5 days (weekdays), but I pretty much stuck to my normal routine of soda whenever we ate out.

Week 4 was much better. I think after a long week of vacationing, then starting a mind-numbing painting project, water was what my body was screaming for.  I drank ONLY water for the entire week last week. It wasn’t until Friday that I decided to splurge and have a soda…and then I didn’t even really feel like I wanted it, so the water thing is actually working out well and my body has been thanking me –not to mention I lost another two pounds on my Nutrisystem journey. The last time I lost two pounds in a week was when I cut out soda and drank only water the first week on the program. I guess this water stuff does really work!
