Introducing Duracell Quantum and Quantum Heroes! #MC #sponsored

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Duracell. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

My kids are always begging me for new batteries in their electronic toys. Some of the biggest offenders of battery drain in our household are the handheld e-reader pens (Leap Reader), and the handheld video game devices. My husband thought rechargeable batteries would be the way to go, but they just don’t last long enough to be effective when we are on a long road trip, and it is hard to re-charge them on the go. The kids also hate having to wait for what seems like forever to them for the batteries to be ready to use again.

From powering flashlights in thunderstorms and smoke detectors in our ceilings, to making sure our children stay entertained on long car rides, longer-life batteries acts as unsung heroes in our daily lives. Duracell has recently introduced a breakthrough battery to help our electronics keep pace with our busy lifestyles.

Duracell Quantum – Long Lasting Power!

Duracell has recently released their Quantum battery. Recognizable by it’s distinct red color, this battery contains longer lasting power than any other battery on the market. We were recently able to try the Quantum battery from Duracell, and I just love it! Here are just a few features I love:

  • Duracell Quantum is the only battery with a power indicator on the cell. You can see exactly how much battery power is remaining so that nothing is wasted, and you know if you are going to need to pack some extra batteries for any road trips.
  • Quantum can be efficiently used across both low-drain and high-drain devices. I love not having to seek out a different kind of battery for every device we own.
  • Quantum is the brand’s most powerful premium-tier battery. Power = good!

Duracell’s Quantum Heroes Program

Duracell_Quantum_Heroes

Duracell is donating one million Duracell Quantum batteries to first responders across North America because they need and deserve it most. Duracell is putting Quantum power in the hands of Quantum heroes to help them go beyond the call of duty and power their life-saving equipment.

Celebrating our Nation’s First Responders

First Responders use (AA/AAA) batteries in critical devices that keep us safe and protect us — from life-saving breathing apparatus, and location tracking devices to flashlights. They also distribute batteries for community safety programs. To celebrate our first responders, Duracell is telling stories of sacrifice and heroism with a documentary-style video series called Quantum Heroes.

Quantum Heroes in action:

In 2002, firefighters from the Fairborn, OH Fire Department raced into a burning home to rescue an infant girl, who had only moments to survive. These firefighters don’t call themselves heroes, but we do. We call them Quantum Heroes.

Watch their story here. http://www.youtube.com/Duracell

So tell us….

What devices could you use a little more battery power in?

Do you know any Quantum Heroes? Share a story! Go to Duracell’s Facebook or Twitter and share your own first responder stories using #MyQuantumHero

Flashlights!!! I keep one beside my bed, in my husband’s side table, in the cars, in the kitchen – and they always need new batteries! I don’t like to think about being caught in the dark!

These would be great in our TV remotes. We’re always replacing those it seems like!

I think the boys little remote control car, our computer mouse, I would love to see more companies do what Duracell does with donating to a good cause. Our son is a firefighter and living in a small town here, a lot of the crew donate their own money to keep the Fire Station operating.

I need long lasting power for my flashlights. That is great that Duracell is making a quantum battery that lasts longer and has no waste. Usually if you let a device with batteries in it for a time, you come back and the battery is dead. These batteries would also be good in TV remotes!
