Did you know the last week of September has been Nationally designated as “Keep Kids Creative Week”? While this week is often celebrated in schools with many fun activities to help stimulate kid’s creativeness, parents can also take advantage of this week to do some really fun things at home.
Many parents struggle with finding time to fit creativity in but there are lots of products out there to help us with getting those creative juices flowing. Mama-Nibbles and Life With Two Boys would like to present the Keeping Kids Creative event to help you find some fun products to keep your family creative not only during “Keep Kids Creative Week” but any time of the year!
Keeping Kids Creative begins on September 17th at 12:01am EST and ends on September 30th at 11:59pm EST. Along with the awesome prizes that each of the participating blogs are offering we also have 3 Grand Prizes thanks to our sponsors BabbaCo, Green Kid Crafts, Kelly Kits, PowerCapes, Bannor Toys, We Can Too, and Kat and Company.
You can check out the grand prize information and enter to win here:
| Wonder Box | Every Wonder Box project is designed by our experts to help kids work on one or more essential kindergarten skills (although they’ll be having so much fun, they’ll have no idea how hard they’re working!) Here are some of the core skills we’ll explore:Sorting & Patterning: Matching, sorting, categorizing & patterning are critical skills for learning kindergarten math and understanding our world.
Number Sense: Being able to recognize numbers from 1-10 and being able to count out loud to 20 gives kids a big boost for kindergarten. Letters & Phonics: Recognizing all 26 letters and matching letters with the sounds they make are the foundations of reading. Shape Recognition: Kindergartners spend a lot of time playing and working with simple shapes. Students gain key pre-geometry skills as they identify shapes, explore their properties and relationships, and find them in the environment. |
| Spot It! | There is always one, and only one, matching symbol between any 2 cards in this party game. Spot it and you win! A sharp eye and a little bit of speed is all it takes to become a Spot it! master. |
| Howard B. Wigglebottom | We create entertaining educational books, videos, games, and songs to help young children learn how to listen, learn important life lessons, and feel good about themselves. |
| Kelly Kits | Kelly Kits encourage art play using a wide variety of creative tools & materials beyond what coloring books can offer. The Original Kelly Kit comes complete with one set of five unique activities that cover the five art disciplines: painting, drawing, sculpting, printmaking, & collage. Each kit contains all of the tools & materials needed for the activities, the user just needs access to a kitchen! |
