For the moments that matter #QuakerUp and start your day off right – plus Win a @Quaker gift pack!

A few weeks ago Quaker premiered a short film, “Not a Matter of Time,” which explores the Human Energy Crisis: running out of energy before running out of time. Like many of us, you are likely racing through the things you love and often lack energy for the people you love. You could say that you’re part of this Human Energy Crisis.

Brooke Burke-Charvet

Brooke Burke-Charvet hosted the premiere at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and I had a chance to chat with her live via a Google + hangout! Brooke gave some great tips on how she manages her busy life. We also had a chance to talk about what we would do if we had more energy. You can see my responses in my blog post about having more energy.

<<– Here is Brooke chatting with a group of us  🙂

Here is a short video of Brooke at the Sundance Film Festival:

We also had a chance to watch the film “Not a Matter of Time” before it premiered at the film festival and it is one you truly want to see! Check it out below, then enter to win a good energy prize pack from Quaker.  I received one of these same gift packs and it is truly amazing!

I recharge with Quaker oatmeal for breakfast most mornings after walking my pup. And try to take a 15 afternoon tea break with a book or magazine!

I LOVE quaker oatmeal. My kids eat it for breakfast several times a week as well. It’s the perfect breakfast for school kids.

I leave the kids w/the Husband and head to Starbucks. Something about 15-20 minutes alone and a hot {or iced} latte w/extra espresso that simply makes the day brighter. 🙂

I recharge by savoring some coffee,or a snack and spending time relaxing. That may simply be interacting with family or pets or reading the paper. Recharging can be a few minutes, it can be a day trip that breaks from the routine.

On mornings when I feel particularly sluggish I will usually walk to work. A nice walk in the cool morning air wakes you up and energizes you.

First thing in the morning, I do stretches and then eat a healthy breakfast. This gets my day off to a great start!
