Recently my son turned six years old and we have been celebrating in several ways. We took a trip to Great Wolf Lodge, Buffalo Phil’s, and Knuckleheads (all in Wisconsin Dells); but Chapstick sent us a little gift to help us celebrate as well!
Sprinkles cupcakes, candles, streamers, hats, and cake batter flavored chapstick! Sounds great to me.
I had never actually had Sprinkles cupcakes before so I was really excited to try them, they were red velvet….one of my faves! I was also excited to try the Chapstick flavors and see how close they were to the real thing.
First thing first…the cupcakes of course! I whipped up a batch from the mix, and made some cream cheese frosting to go with it. They were pretty good, but I have to say that they were even better the next day after they had been in the refrigerator over night.
The kids loved having a special treat too, and everyone was excited to watch the candles being blown out.
Velvet Cupcake and Cake Batter Chapstick
After trying the real thing, I figured I would give the Velvet Cupcake Chapstick a try. To my surprise, it was really close to an actual red velvet cupcake, and I really liked the flavor!
The Cake Batter flavor is my favorite though. Coming from someone who used to eat spoonfuls of cake batter out of the bowl when I was younger, this Chapstick is really good…aaahhh– memories.
