Give TerraCycle products as gifts this year and help outsmart waste! #HolidayGiftGuide

A few weeks ago I was sent a set of M&M Eco Speakers from TerraCycle to try. I have to say, I am pretty impressed with the quality of sound these tiny little speakers can project. The best part, they are eco-friendly!

The M&M Eco Speakers are portable, lightweight speakers that are made with recycled materials. Their 3.5 mm universal plug allows you to play music from your iPod, iPhone, MP3 player, laptop, or computer. I was very excited to try these out on my iPod, iPhone, and iPad.  When you get them, they come flat and you simply fold them to form the speakers.  It is very easy to do!

These little speakers pack a big punch. I was very impressed with their sound quality. They worked great on my iPod Nano and my iPhone 4. I do have to point out that they didn’t work that well for the iPad. The sound quality from the iPad was better without the speakers, but I would highly recommend these for iPhones and iPods.

Since they fold down and are lightweight, they are very portable and would be very easy to pack in a suitcase. The other great thing about these speakers is the fact that they are made with recycled materials. TerraCycle upcycles and recycles traditionally non-recyclable waste (including drink pouches, chip bags, toothbrushes and many more) into a large variety of consumer products. These products keep waste out of our landfills and contribute to a cleaner world.

How TerraCycle Works

How It Works Image

TerraCycle is on a mission to eliminate the idea of waste. We do this by creating waste collection programs (each one is called a “Brigade”) for previously non-recyclable, or difficult-to-recycle, waste. The collected waste is then converted into new products, ranging from recycled park benches to upcycled backpacks.

You can find out more about how this whole process works by visiting the TerraCycle website here:  How TerraCycle works
