The 1000 Miglia is a renowned Miglia company of Italy that keeps organizing such events. This particular event has been organized with a partnership with the Octanium experiences to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the UAE. The present upcoming event is going to happen from 18th to 22nd February 2022 in UAE. This is the very first moment when this event is going to happen away from Italy.

To everyone’s surprise, the event will witness 100 cars of classic edition in the 1000 Miglia UAE jubilee edition. The event will be for five days and the participants will be from the seven emirates and different parts of the world.

  • The first day of the race is 18th February that will display what all is going to happen in the event. The cards will start from the Expo site and their destination will be Al Ain.
  • The next day, the race will start from Al Ain and then will be destined to go to Fujairah.
  • on the 20th, they will start from Fujairah and will end their racing at Ras Al Khaimah. 
  • And then on 21st February, the cars will make a race to cross the Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Ajman, and then to Abu Dhabi. On the final date of the event, which is 22nd February, the car will be racing from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. 

The Octanium experiences of the event in UAE are supported by various companies and brands, one among them is Carrera (official eyewear partner) and Chopard (official timekeeper). In addition to this, there were three different vehicle classes that had permission to participate in the Miglia UAE jubilee edition.

  • The first class includes the cars that were produced somewhere from 1927 to about 1957, also they are supposed to complete the original Miglia 1000 race at least once and they have to be registered under the 1000 Miglia registry by adhering to the set standards.
  • Moving on, the cars that were manufactured till 1971 (also, this is the founding year of UAE). These cars should have a FIVA card.
  • Lastly, the contemporary icons or the historic models that were produced from 1971 and in the coming years. 

50th Anniversary of the UAE celebrated by announcing the first 1000 Miglia UAE Jubilee edition

This Jubilee event was also a special surprise to many who didn’t know that it is the year when UAE celebrated 50 years from its foundation. The United Arab Emirates was formed on 2nd December 1971. Hence, this year marks the half-century of the nation that is a great celebration for one and all. Hence, this event also experiences a grand achievement party and there shall be cars from all over the globe.

About The Race Track

Not many know that the Mille Miglia means the thousand miles. It was started in 1927 on an open road in Italy. However, the race track changed about 13 times in the 23 years of the event. Sometimes, it was organized in Rome and at times amidst the small towns of Italy. And this is going to be the first time when the Miglia event will come from their homeland and will be organized at the emirates or the UAE. One should also know that to participate in the event, the entrance fee has to be paid of 8000 euros. Hence, only classic models will be performing and not the budget cars. 

Previously, the race witnessed some crashes and injuries. Hence, now the utmost safety is maintained all through the race. The race track will be checked and investigated thoroughly and the cars will be checked and rechecked so that there is no chance of any crash or injury. Not just weeks or months, a year of planning and implementation takes place to organize such a grand event of the Miglia classic car race.
