A visit from the Tooth Fairy AND the Fairy Hobmother!

When I picked up my son after school yesterday he was so excited to show me something. He had a little plastic tooth hanging around his neck, and before he could even show me I asked him if he’d lost a tooth today. I was actually just joking around because he didn’t even have a wiggly tooth yet. To my surprise he said he did ,and showed me his big toothless smile!

I couldn’t believe it, my baby boy (six next week 🙂 ) just lost his first tooth! It is both a happy and sad thing because this means my baby is growing up and won’t be little much longer.

The Tooth Fairy is Coming!

Little sister was excited too, she made sure to mention that he would be getting a visit from the tooth fairy.

As soon as we got home, my son went around showing everyone where his tooth once had been. We went up to grandma and grandpa’ house and showed them too!

My two kids made sure to  let everyone know all about the lost tooth and that the tooth fairy was coming tonight. Everyone was so excited for this milestone (we are always sure to celebrate all the little and/or big things for the kids!).

The Fairy Hobmother visits as well!

fairy_hobmother3Who would have thought that the Tooth Fairy and the Fairy Hobmother would both be paying a visit on the same day! Who is the Fairy Hobmother you may ask?

The Fairy Hobmother is actually a real fairy, not a mythical creature like some say that infamous Tooth Fairy is. 🙂

The Fairy Hobmother flies around the blogosphere paying a visit to special bloggers all over the land while sprinkling fairy dust in the form of gift certificates to the selected few. When the Fairy Hobmother is not busy sprinkling fairy dust on lucky bloggers, he can be found acceding to the fairy overlords who like to work on home appliances in their homeland.

Should you comment on this post, you might be paid a visit by the Fairy Hobmother too!

I would love a visit from the Fairy Hobmother! And congrats on the tooth! My son thinks its the neatest thing when he loses a tooth...he has even asked me to tie a string around the doorknob and a tooth so he could get some money...even though the tooth wasn't even loose! Eeek! :) Reply

Yeah, he had mentioned before it was kinda loose, but I couldn't feel it so I really didn't think we were even close to losing a tooth yet! Tell your son there are easier ways to earn money, lol Reply

My kids used to purposely pull their teeth out just to get money! I had to switch down to quarters - not worth the effort for them. And...Fairy Hobmother! Please visit me so I can stop begging you in public! Reply

My baby just turned 4 but she keeps asking me when the tooth fairy will visit her. Her BFF is almost 5 and lost her first tooth so I think that is why she is so excited. I am sure it will be bitter sweet, like your, one of her last "firsts". Reply

Tooth Fairy and the Hobmother Fairy must be related. Same Last Name! Yep...I bet when possible they travel together to save on fairy dust. We all know the cost of travel is so expensive. Congrats to your Big Guy for losing a tooth. Big deal in our family! I heard if the child that lost the tooth is not good....that the Tooth Fairy will not visit! Good to know he has been good! Reply

I was wondering what the Fairy Hobmother was. Now I know. It is an exciting time when they start losing teeth. They grow up too fast. Reply

Aww! The missing tooth pic is so cute. My daughter was so excited when she lost her 1st tooth. She is 7 now and has lost several teeth. This past summer she was missing 4 at one time. Reply

Wow, that is awesome! Two great visits on the same day! I have ben seeing this wonderful Fairy Hobmother, visiting a few great blogs. I would love to have a visit one day. I won't be as surprised as Bilbo when the Dwarfs visit, but will be ready none the less. Thanks! Reply

Two fairy visits in one night? You might want to set traps for leprechauns, it seems like you're attracting mythical creatures! Reply
