I first read A Wrinkle In Time when I was a child. I cannot remember exactly what age I was, but I was reading pretty advanced books in my youth so I imagine I was quite young. I remember really liking the story back then, and my imagination was pretty good, so anything slightly science fiction or fantasy and I was hooked!
Recently I bought a copy of this beloved book so that my kids could enjoy reading it now that they are old enough to read on their own, but if I’m being honest, it has been so long since I’ve actually read the story myself that I cannot remember exactly what happens!
Since this classic book is soon to be released to the big screen (March 9), and I’ve been invited out to L.A. to cover the Hollywood premiere and interview the stars of the movie, I figured it was high time we got going on reading (re-reading in my case) A Wrinkle In Time.

In case you haven’t heard of the Wrinkle In Time series by Madeleine L’Engle, A Wrinkle In Time is the first of five books in the series. The remaining books are A Wind in the Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, Many Waters, and An Acceptable Time.

About A Wrinkle In Time
From Goodreads description:
“It was a dark and stormy night; Meg Murry, her small brother Charles Wallace, and her mother had come down to the kitchen for a midnight snack when they were upset by the arrival of a most disturbing stranger.
“Wild nights are my glory,” the unearthly stranger told them. “I just got caught in a downdraft and blown off course. Let me be on my way. Speaking of way, by the way, there is such a thing as a tesseract”.
Meg’s father had been experimenting with this fifth dimension of time travel when he mysteriously disappeared. Now the time has come for Meg, her friend Calvin, and Charles Wallace to rescue him. But can they outwit the forces of evil they will encounter on their heart-stopping journey through space?”
