Recently I had a chance to try Arbor Mist Frozen Wine Cocktails.  I was really excited to try these because I don’t often indulge in something like this for myself, but when I do I want it to taste good, and be something I would be excited to drink.  I really like frozen drinks because they are really easy to make and drink!  The cocktails need to be frozen for about five hours, then you gently massage them, tear open the top, and squeeze to pour into a glass.

The first flavor I tried was the strawberry.  This one was really good, and of course since I don’t do a lot of drinking, the alcohol level in this was just enough for me (my friend’s say I’m a cheap date, lol).  The next flavor I tried was the Blackberry, it wasn’t quite as good as the strawberry, but it still tasted good.  Out of the three, strawberry was my favorite hands down.  I really like that the cocktails are frozen, because it makes it easy for me to grab something quick to enjoy out on our screened in porch, and just sit and relax after a long day.

I did have a hard time drinking these right out of the freezer, they were a little too frozen, and you couldn’t just drink them like a normal drink.  They are thicker than the consistency of a slushy, and you would pretty much need a straw to drink it immediately out of the freezer.  If you let them sit for a few minutes they do start to soften up and you are able to drink them out of the glass.

One thing I didn’t like about the cocktails was that it seemed a little difficult to get the drink out of the pouches without getting freezer burn!  When I tasted the strawberry flavor I poured it into a mug, so the opening was a little wider and I didn’t have quite so difficult a time getting it out of the pouch; but when I tried the blackberry flavor I put it the cocktail in a wine glass and I had such a hard time getting the drink into the smaller opening my hands were starting to get a little frozen!
