Recently, my kids spent a day visiting their grandparents. My husband and I took the opportunity to venture out of the house and have a fun day together. We went shopping, sight-seeing, and just spent the day doing things that you don’t always get to do with the kids around. For lunch, we visited the sandwich shop, Erbert and Gerbert’s, which is one of my favorite places to eat!

Erbert and Gerbert’s has launched two new sandwiches so my husband and I decided to give them a try. I’m always skeptical about trying new things because once I find something I like I tend to stick with it, but I’m so glad we gave these new options a chance. The flavor really was amazing, especially so with the plant-based Roasted Red Pepper Banh Mi!

Erbert & Gerbert’s goes out-of-this-world with new Asian-inspired flavors.

Two new sandwiches are now available for a limited time: The BBQ Brisket Asian Fusion & plant-based Roasted Red Pepper Bánh Mì.

Bold Between The Breads™

Roasted Red Pepper Bánh Mì: Savory sweet roasted red peppers topped with cucumbers, jalapeño peppers, tomatoes, lettuce and barbecue sauce with cilantro mint aioli made from Hellmann’s® mayo.

I’m a meat kinda gal so I didn’t know how much I would like this sandwich, but it turned out to be my favorite. There is so much flavor packed into this plant-based sandwich — you just have to try it! I’d definitely order this again, and my vegetarian daughter has something full of flavor that she can order right off the menu – I’m excited to share this option with her.

BBQ Brisket Asian Fusion: A southern take on an Asian classic. All-natural hickory-smoked beef brisket smothered in barbecue sauce, cucumbers, jalapeño peppers, tomatoes and lettuce with cilantro-mint aioli made from Hellmann’s® mayo.

My husband and I both enjoyed the BBQ Brisket Asian Fusion. I mean, it’s brisket. What’s not to love?! Just looking at these pictures is making me hungry all over again!

If you haven’t been to Erbert And Gerbert’s in a while, now’s the time! The two new Asian-inspired sandwiches are only here for a limited time.

Did you Know? Funny Sandwich Names

If you are a regular to Erbert And Gerbert’s then you’ll know all the sandwiches have some pretty out-there names (Comet Candy, Bornk, Girf… to name a few). Did you ever wonder where those names came from or what inspired them?

As my husband and I sat enjoying our sandwiches, we also had fun reading all about where all those silly sandwich names came from. The next time you sit down to enjoy a delicious sandwich, see if you can find out where your favorite came from!
