I am always looking for new recipes and foods to try out to add to our repertoire. Recently, I was introduced to a corn cake, and although a bit skeptical at first, after that first bite I was in love. The taste is a balance of sweet and savory, and it is oh-so-delicious. If you have ever had this sweet treat at Chi-Chi’s, you know how delicious it is. Even if you haven’t had it you will want to try this make at home recipe yourself!
Chi-Chi’s Corn Cake
To make at home, you simply need the Chi-Chi’s corn cake mix, some creamed corn, butter, and water and in no time you will have a delicious sweet corn cake that goes well with so many things.
We decided to eat ours with homemade soup as a sweet finish to our delicious chicken noodle soup. Normally I would have peanut butter bread or miracle whip bread with my soup (doesn’t everyone?), but this corn cake substitution was an absolute delight.
Trust me, it didn’t last long. The corn cake was a hit and everyone asked for more! Have you ever had corn cake?
Find the Chi-Chi’s mix at your local retailer, or you can find it online at Amazon as well.
