When Christopher Robin was being released to theaters I talked about how concerned I was that another classic Disney tale was being turned into a live-action film. Now that the film is being released to Bu-ray, I’ve had a chance to watch the entire film with my family and I can tell you — my concerns disappeared!

Cute, funny, heartwarming — all words I’d use to describe Disney’s, Christopher Robin.

About Christopher Robin

In the heartwarming live-action adventure, the young boy who embarked on countless adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with his band of spirited and lovable stuffed animals has grown up and lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin remember the loving and playful boy who is still inside.

Christopher Robin Review

My family and I decided to make Christopher Robin our choice for a movie night a few days ago. At first, my two oldest were reluctant, as they thought we were going to be watching a movie for babies (and they are anything but, of course), but it took all of two minutes for them to be completely enraptured by the movie.

I couldn’t pull them away if you asked, and when it was all over and I asked them their thoughts… they told me they thought it was really good, with big ear to ear grins on their faces.

I have to agree with their assessment. I was going in with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this movie. It may end up as one in our regular rotation of travel movies that we bring along on our adventures!

Ewan McGregor is fantastic as a grown-up Christopher Robin, and Jim Cummings (the voice of both Pooh and Tigger) does not falter in his performance, remaining the steadfast Pooh I remember from my childhood.

If you want a great family film that everyone will enjoy, Christopher Robin is a great choice!

Disney’s Christopher Robin is available on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on November 6!
