Do you have a TwirlyGirl? Cute reversible skirts for girls!

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Do you or your daughter have a favorite article of clothing that is just fun to wear? For my daughter it is a reversible skirt, like this. She loves the idea that you can decide which way to wear the skirt, and of course the freedom of picking out different tops for each side.

We received a TwirlyGirl skirt for review, and from the moment the box arrived on our doorstep my daughter was in heaven. Just picture an ecstatic 4yr old girly girl tearing into a package that she knew was sent just for her. Then getting through the packaging to reveal the cutest little candy wrapper inspired packaging on her skirt.

Once she pulled off the strings, which she immediately found another use for (decorating her grandmother’s birthday gift), she found the most adorable and comfortably soft skirt you could imagine.

Yes, that is truly what getting a TwirlyGirl skirt was like for my daughter. She knew she was getting a new skirt but she had no idea what it was going to look like, or how the material was going to feel, so the amazement on her face upon opening the package was truly priceless. She even commented on how both sides were colorful (not yet knowing that this was a reversible skirt).

That first night with her skirt she immediately decided to put on a fashion show. Well, poor blogger mommy wasn’t even prepared with her camera (the blasphemy!) so all I had handy was my camera phone — and I’ve been needing a new one for a while so these pictures aren’t the greatest in quality, but you can clearly see the joy on her face as she paraded down the steps. She then proceeded to twirl and whirl about while her brother recorded video of her. It really was the cutest thing you ever saw. One of those precious moments we will look back upon when viewing the video footage and just smile at.

She even ‘did’ her own hair and added some pretend make-up, as well as accessorized. 🙂

After our first night’s fun she got to wear her skirt to school. It is still a bit cold in WI, so hence the need for leggings or pants under the skirt. She was super excited to wear the skirt and show it off to all her friends!

TwirlyGirl fashion show number two!

The next time she decided to wear the skirt, to my surprise, she wanted to wear the green side out. She is usually all about pinks and purples so I was a little shocked that she actually chose to reverse it. We had just as much fun with fashion show number two! This time her Build-a-Bear Cinderella puppy joined in on the action.

After a little primping she strutted her stuff down the hallway.

I tried to convince her to do a few spins but the upstairs hall is a bit tight, and the stairs are right there, so she tried but couldn’t get going too fast.

All said and done it was a ton of fun watching her come alive as she was showing off her skirt. She is truly a little fashion diva — which she does not get from me by any means! I love that she is such a princess though, I never really had that experience when I was little as I was such a Tomboy so it is fun to watch and take part in. I’m sure she will be dressing up her baby sister in no time!

Exactly, I love that it is two skirts in one as it makes it worth paying a little extra for! Plus the material used is really high quality. Reply
