When you are looking to make a switch to how you eat and the types of foods you serve to your family, you want it to be easy. At least that’s how I felt. I’ll admit, when we first switched to eating organic foods and trying to eat clean foods, it wasn’t always as easy as I’d hoped. But times have changed and it has become much easier to live an easy clean eating lifestyle and choose organic foods!
Is Easy Clean Eating Possible?
One way to make this change is to use organic cooking sauces like those from Seeds of Change®. We’ve added the Seeds of Change® organic simmer sauces to our pantry and it has really made it easy to prepare tasty and healthier meals at home!
The most recent recipe I made with the simmering sauces was Taco Chipotle Beef Lettuce Wraps.
While this sounds complicated and time-consuming, prep is really easy. Then you simply cook, add the simmering sauce, and you are done! This is truly easy clean eating!
Taco Chipotle Beef Lettuce Wraps
To make these delicious wraps you only need to grab a few ingredients. We decided to do both lettuce and tortilla wraps, but you could choose either one.
Once you have your ingredients, simply prep the peppers and the meat by slicing and dicing. I did thin strips for the peppers and cubed the flank steak.
Note: I already had some diced onions in my freezer as I prep and store ahead of time, but if you don’t have any pre-cut you’ll want to dice one small onion as well.
Next, throw everything into a hot pan with a few drizzles of Avocado oil (I prefer this oil as it has a higher smoke point versus olive oil).
Cook until the veggies have softened and the meat is nice and browned on all sides.
Once the meat and veggies have cooked through, grab your Seeds of Change® sauce of choice.
I used the Taco Roasted Chipotle sauce, and since it is in a no mess, easy open and easy pour pouch, I was able to easily add flavor to my dish without much effort at all.
Stir to incorporate the sauce into the entire dish. Keep everything cooking until the sauce is warmed and you are ready to plate your wraps!
As mentioned previously, you can stick with just the lettuce wraps for a low-carb option, or use some flour tortillas. Both options work well and taste great. I also like to top my wraps with some shredded cheese and additional raw peppers.
To use the tortillas, simply fill, add your favorite toppings, and wrap like a burrito. Mmmm!!
