I love love love my fleece blankets. They are so comfortable and soft even after many years of use and many washes, and they are warm. Living in Wisconsin means some cold nights, and the fleece blankets are the perfect thing to snuggle up on the couch with on a cold winter night.
The problem is that not all fleece blankets are made the same. There are some out there that are super thin, and really cheap…definitely not what I’m looking for in terms of comfort or warmth. Some can also be pretty pricey as the quality gets better (and cost more as the size increases depending on how big you want it). The solution I’ve found to this problem is to make my own! They are so easy to make you will not believe you haven’t tried this sooner.
Making a Fleece Blanket requires no skill!
To make a fleece blanket requires no sewing skill whatsoever. You won’t even need to get out any needle or thread. If you can cut with scissors and tie a knot, you can make a blanket! These are so easy I’ve actually made them my go-to gift at baby showers. I usually make one any time one of my close friends/family are having a baby. I know how much my kids love them, so I love passing these super comfortable blankets on to others.
How to Make a No-Sew Fleece Blanket
Check out this video I made showcasing how to make a no-sew fleece blanket. This was a blanket I made as a gift for a friend who was having a baby.
