Do you ever wonder what to do with the crust end of the bread? Do you want to encourage your kids to eat it but unsure how to convince them? I have got the perfect solution!
Recently I was introduced to FunBites and my kids have been eating the crusty bread lickety split! They have no idea it is not the “regular” slice of bread that they are eating, and have even been asking me to make more of those “little sandwiches.”
FunBites are cutting tools that cut food into bite-sized shapes. They currently offer the square shape pictured here, as well as a heart shaped set. They are so ridiculously easy to use, you will want to use them every time you make sandwiches just because it is fun!
In addition to using these on the crust ends of bread like I did, you can also use them for picky eaters who don’t want to eat the crust on regular bread. This tool cuts the crust off when you use it so no extra step is needed! I used it on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for my kids, but you could do ham and cheese, pancakes, cheese squares, pizza, fruit, pretty much anything you can slice is fair game!
These are so simple to use as well. I’ll show you what I did:
First, get a sandwich together; we did peanut butter and jelly.
Next, place the FunBites tool on top of the sandwich and push down hard, rocking back and forth.
Then place the insert into the squares so you can push the pieces through.
And walah! You have little squares.
Just peel them apart and you are good to go. Lots of itty bitty bitey bits of goodness!
You would think these were gourmet sandwiches the way the kids gobbled them down! Then they came back begging for more. Yes, I will be using this tool again!
