Lately I’ve been thinking ahead to Halloween, yes I know it is only July but Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year.  I love decorating and really getting into the fun of the season.  The last couple of years we have been lacking in the costume department, so I thought this year I’d really like my family to have some kind of theme and get some really great costumes.  I know buying costumes can end up costing an arm and a leg depending on what you get and where you shop, and I’m just not crafty enough (or at least don’t have enough time) to make my own.  That is when I found Wholesale Costume Club.  They have really great prices on costumes; and they also have a costume club for girls (and boys and adults too) where you can pay $5.00 a year (it doesn’t auto renew so no need to worry about that) and you get a even bigger discount on the already low prices!  If you have more than one kid, or buy a costume for yourself and a child, you will get the savings back just by buying two costumes!

I found the perfect costume for my little girl and she was so excited when she got it.  I ordered the Designer Elegant Lady Girl’s Costume and it is so adorable.  I wanted us to all have renaissance themed costumes, and this one is just so cute!  The thing I really liked about this costume was the quality.  You can buy those $20.00 costumes in Super-centers or toy stores, but they are so thin and in my opinion, cheaply made.  This costume was really made well, had nice materials, and even a built in hoop to make the dress fuller at the bottom.  What more could a girl ask for?!  The only thing my husband didn’t like was the glitter.  For some reason he has this glitter phobia (weird I know), and the glitter came off fairly easily and ended up on all our floors.  It didn’t bother me, but he was trailing behind her with the broom, lol.  Here she is in the dress, she was so excited and big brother thought it was great too!

The costume itself was a surprise, I told her she had a package but not what was in it.  Both kids were just thrilled to be able to open it and see what was inside!  They had already gotten it out of the box at this point and big brother was helping get it out of the bag. Take a look:

Now to just work on getting the rest of the family costumes for our theme.  We are gonna rock out Halloween this year!
