Whether you live in Queens or are just visiting and you want some fun family things to do, these activities are sure to keep everyone entertained.

Fun Things To Do In Queens

Flushing Meadows Corona Park – Previously home to two World’s Fairs, you can try to spot some of the leftover displays, including the Unisphere, New York Pavilion, and observation towers (featured in Men In Black!).

Flushing Meadows is the largest park in Queens, including a stunning recreation complex, a zoo, an art museum, a botanical garden, a science museum, and a baseball stadium.

Explore one of the park’s six playgrounds, take a stroll along the Flushing Bay Promenade, or launch your model airplane.

Queens County Farm Museum – Escape city life and get up close and personal with sheep, pigs, and egg-laying hens. Seasonal favorites include the Children’s Carnival in the spring and the Maize Maze in the fall.

Astoria Park – This park offers a playground, basketball court, and the city’s largest outdoor swimming pool (summer). If you need an afternoon to just enjoy the outdoors without to much hustle and bustle, a visit to the park can offer just that!

Queens Botanical Garden – Be one with nature! On weekends, you’ll find live music and food vendors, as well as hands-on workshops in the children’s garden.

Museum Of Moving Image – Learn about the history of cinema. Here you’ll find props from old movies, a media lab, and retro video games. Trust us, you’ll love it as much as the kids! They offer screenings and live events as well so be sure to check out their calendar of events for any upcoming family programs!
