I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Green Works. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Choosing a greener lifestyle
My family has been making a concerted effort to try to live a greener lifestyle. This not only means eating organic foods, but also using organic products in our home. Every time I shop I try to make a conscious effort to buy products that are good for our bodies and for the environment. Perhaps it is just the fact that I have more knowledge now that I’m older, or that having three kids has made me more concerned about what products we use, but overall I only want things in our home that are safe.
Buying organic foods has been really easy for us. My husband works for an organic food producer so access has been easy. It is the every day products that have been a little harder to transition to. I’ve been shying away from plastic lately, and choosing instead to use reusable items that have less impact on the environment (and potentially our health with the possibility that plastics leach chemicals). For cleaning supplies I try to keep it as simple as possible. Whenever I can I simply use water and our Norwex cleaning cloth, but sometimes you do need a little more power behind your cleaning, and that is when I turn to Green Works.
What are natural products?
Green Works makes powerful, naturally derived cleaning products. According to Green Works, “natural” means:
Natural home care products should: 1) contain natural ingredients, 2) avoid any ingredients with suspected human health risks, 3) use no animal testing and 4) use biodegradable ingredients along with environmentally sustainable packaging. We’re proud to announce that five of our products have already passed a rigorous certification process — with more to follow.
All Green Works® products are 95% to 99% naturally derived. That means all of the active cleaning ingredients in our products are derived from mother nature, such as filtered water, plant-based cleaning agents, essential oils, corn-based ethanol and wood-based fibers. See ingredients list.
Green Works Games – Win a $500 Gift Card!
How to play:
- Follow @greenworksclean on Pinterest, create one pinboard and title it “GreenWorks Games.”
- Find, unscramble or complete a word and then find an image to match. For example, if the word is “natural” you might pin a lemon, flower, or whatever represents natural to you — your pins should be reflective of your personality. Pin your answer and make sure to tag it with the word it represents and the hashtag #greenworksgames.
- When your board is ready, email Green Works a link to your board at firstname.lastname@example.org and you could win a $500 gift card (one board per person)!
Contest runs from September 4 to October 2. See official rules here: Green Works Games
