Admittedly we have been having way more peanut butter and jelly sandwiches than I would have liked over the last month. I guess it is fitting since March is National Peanut Butter month. We have been busy busy busy this month; with me going back to work after maternity leave, getting back into the swing of things hasn’t been as easy as I’d hoped so peanut butter has been one of the go-to items in the house lately.
Good thing my kids love it! My daughter has recently developed a taste for the dark chocolate variety as well — a girl after my own heart. 🙂 It has been very easy to please the kids when it comes to the dinner table since both my son and daughter are quite happy with pb& j, although honestly I’m not sure how they can eat it so often — I prefer some variety in my diet.
My daughter is a little bit pickier than my son. She wants what she wants, and honestly, I don’t mind doing a few extra things like cutting off the crust as long as she is eating and eating healthy (or as healthy as we can manage right now). We have been working on getting more complex and well rounded meals back into our routine, but for now I am happy to have pb&j stocked and ready to go!
