I have been having some serious afternoon crashes lately, and finding a great snack or food item to satisfy my hunger, while still being nutritious has been a bit of a challenge. So when I got to try the new Hormel REV wraps, I was really excited. Not only do they look good, they are good!

Hormel Foods Launches New Hormel® REV® wraps

Just in time for back to school lunches and after school snacks, Hormel Foods is launching a brand new product: Hormel® REV® wraps. Hormel® REV® wraps are the perfect way to satisfy hunger because they’re ready to go with you wherever life takes you.

Hormel® REV® wraps have many benefits to your everyday life including:

  • Endurance: protein-rich to provide real sustaining energy
  • Nutrition: made with real meat and cheese, an excellent source of protein and a good source of calcium and fiber
  • Convenience: no preparation necessary, eaten hot or cold and designed to be hand-held and portable; and
  • Flavorful: classic deli combinations geared towards teens, as well as new, bold flavors for variety

I’m really loving the REV wraps for a quick afternoon snack at work, and it seriously beats coffee when I’m looking for something to satisfy my hunger and keep me going. You can eat them right out of the package (convenient!), but I like heating mine up for about 10 seconds in the microwave just to melt the cheese a little, and then it is ready to go.REV1

They don’t have to be just for snacks either. I think they make a great quick and easy lunch option when you are short on time. For me, a quick read and a REV wrap made for a nice little lunch escape!

REV wraps great for back to school

With school coming up in just over a month for our family, I am starting to think about easy and nutritious lunches I can pack for my kids. Although they do eat school lunch, they also like to bring lunch from home occasionally, and REV wraps are a perfect addition to the lunch box!

The wraps are convenient (no preparation necessary), and also nutritious with 15 grams of protein or more in each serving. Not to mention that they actually taste good too!

My kids are little, but for older kids these would make a perfect pre-game snack or afternoon grab and go item to get teens through until dinner. With eight varieties to choose from, I’m sure even the pickiest eater can find a satisfying flavor.

Tell us….

Do you pack a lunch or afternoon snack for your kids? What is your go-to item?
