Disney Studios sponsored this event. All opinions are my own.

Before I had the pleasure of setting foot on the red carpet, I had the privilege of sitting down with Mackenzie Foy during an interview panel where several other bloggers and I were able to talk to Foy about her role as Clara in Disney’s The Nutcracker and The Four Realms.

The first thing we had to ask Foy was who her favorite Disney character is… because you know everyone has one!

Panel: Now that you are in a Disney film, I am curious about what some of your favorite Disney movies are?

Foy: “Cinderella is my favorite, I also really like Atlantis!”

Foy also talked about how it feels to be playing Clara in The Nutcracker and the Four Realms:

“What’s beautiful about The Nutcracker is that it’s such a beloved story throughout many many years, and it’s really fun to play a character that so many people all over the world can relate. It was a really cool thing to be able to do.”

Some behind-the-scenes fun Foy had on the film was when the cast and crew had a competition on who can deck out their trailers in the best holiday decor! I’m sure her trailer was the best, of course!

Foy also had to do a lot of horse stunt training for the film and loved doing her own stunts. My MIL is a huge horse lover so it was fun to hear someone else taking such delight in horses as well.

Her favorite scene of the movie was the one featuring Misty Copeland dancing ballet. Foy loved that real sets were used instead of CGI and all of the dancing was real!

Both Foy and I hope that Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms will become a holiday classic that families will watch year after year. Foy tells us:

“I definitely hope this is a movie that people wanna see every year. I think the film really captures the spirit of Christmas where you have that joyous feeling. I think it also has elements of the book and the ballet but with new twists and turns, and so it kinda brings in the younger crowd along with all ages to watch together as a family.”

It was so much fun talking to Mackenzie Foy and a delight watching her in the role of Clara on the big screen. If you haven’t seen The Nutcracker and The Four Realms yet, be sure to get your tickets today!

The Nutcracker and The Four Realms is in theaters now!
