8 Best Festival Apps

Ready to spend a few days in a muddy field, listen to some great music, or just hang out with your friends on a hard tent floor? Me too!

But with all the fun of festing, there come a few problems. From navigating your way back to your tent to tracking down your lost friends, read on for our selection of the best apps and sites to help you survive three days in a muddy field.

With great service from U.S. Cellular, paired with an awesome device like the iPhone 7, you can take your fest experience up a notch!

Get organized and delegate tasks with Wunderlist! Decide who is bringing the tent, beer, food, or whatever you need for the ultimate festing experience, then assign it to the right person on a group to-do list.

Wunderlist is a free organizational app that allows users to share and assign to-do lists, set due dates and reminders and collaborate on projects from any smart device.

Packing Pro

Packing Pro is an enhanced mobile travel list app for iPhone that allows users to create lists, monitor total items, pick from sample packing lists and more. You’ll be sure to have everything you need for the big gig!

Android equivalent is Packing Checklist

Find My Friends

No best festival apps list would be complete without a way to find your friends. Never lose your friends again with the Find My Friends app (free for Apple or Google Play) that allows you to find a friend’s location or share your own.

GroupMe (also free), allows you to communicate seamlessly via group message, no matter your device. Use a phone, computer, or tablet to instantly chat with someone in a group.

Not interested in ‘roughing it’ in a tent? Find, save, and book the perfect place to put your feet up at the end of a long night of festing with the Airbnb app.

BC Tent Finder

Haven’t we all been in that awkward situation where you unzip the wrong tent and just when you start to fall asleep someone is kicking you out? No, just me? In either case, make sure you can always make your way back to your own tent with BC Tent Finder.

Android equivilent is Camp Finder.

Need to split costs for the campsite, food, or more? Try using Venmo (Play Store), a secure way to pay anyone with your bank account or debit card.

Google Wallet

Send money to others with merely an email address or phone number with Google Wallet. Google Wallet allows users to send or request money from anywhere and users can receive money directly into their bank account.

I haven't been to a festival in a really, really long time. I do love concerts, but they are usually just an evening event not a weekend. I can see the handiness of the apps though! Reply

That is so awesome! Times certainly have changed. The last time I went to a music fest, the only "app" we had was a map of the grounds. If we even got that! LOL Reply

It really seems that there is an app for everything. MY husband and my daughter are always downloading the newest ones, I will have to show them this one, maybe I will be the first in the family to know about one for once. Reply
