McFarland – Family, Grit, Champions, Legacies

Based on the 1987 true story, “McFarland, USA” follows novice runners from McFarland, an economically challenged town in California, as they give their all to build a cross-country team under the direction of Coach Jim White (Kevin Costner), a newcomer to their predominantly Latino high school, with whom they ultimately bond to build not only a championship cross-country team but an enduring legacy as well.

This is one of those movies that I know is going to tug at my heart strings. Opening February 20th, I cannot wait to hear more about this fun movie. A bonus is that Kevin Costner is the coach, he has always been a favorite actor of mine, and cannot wait to see him on the big screen again!

Will you be heading out to see McFarland in February?

I saw previews for this and it looks really good. My 16 yoa son is very involved with Cross Country and I believe his entire team is going to watch this movie when it comes out. Reply

Let us have it.....
