These tacos are so simple and easy that you can have dinner on the table in literally five minutes. Plus, to make it even easier I set out all the ingredients in a ‘build-your-own’ taco bar and let the kids add what they want to their tacos so they can customize it with just what they want.
Some of the ingredients we set out include:
- Soft and hard taco shells
- Shredded cheese
- Fresh spinach
- Sour cream
- Salsa
- Chopped tomatoes
- Sauteed peppers (this is what takes the five minutes)
- Hormel pre-cooked and pre-seasoned taco meat (just heat and serve)
- Guacamole
- Lettuce
- Any other of your favorite taco toppings!
You don’t have to include all of these ingredients in your taco bar, just pick your favorites, set them out, and watch the tacos get gobbled up!
Instructions:
There isn’t much to prepare for this really quick dinner idea. Simply toss some sliced sweet peppers in a frying pan with a little butter over medium heat and let them saute for a few minutes until soft. While those are cooking, pop the taco meat in the microwave to warm through, dice your tomato, and set our your fresh ingredients.
In about five minutes, you will have a ready to serve meal that everyone is sure to love!
Thanks to Hormel for providing great products for me to use.
