Guys! I am SO excited to be headed to my first ever MommyCon this year in Chicago! The 3-day event takes place March 2-4 and there is so much that I am looking forward to doing and seeing that I’ve decided to break this up a bit and tell you a little about my favorite sessions!

First off, I am road tripping to MommyCon with the lovely Jesica here at The Mommy Bunch. No doubt our long car ride will be full of laughs….and adult laughs at that because we’re both leaving the kids home. All EIGHT (combined) of them!!

Our first order of business will be registering Friday afternoon, so we can start attending some of the amazing, educational sessions that are offered. We have the 3-day VIP tickets so there are a few extra we can take advantage of, as well.

Friday Sessions

Some of you that know me well, know that I do not love dinner. Or making it. Or really anything about it, ha! One Friday afternoon session I am looking forward to sitting in on is “Got 6 minutes? Let’s Make Dinner!” with Karen Nochimowski.

Are they serious?! 6 minutes to dinner?? Even if it’s only 30 minutes to dinner, I’m game!!

The other I’m looking forward to on Friday is “Beyond the Mom: Pursuing Your Dreams After Baby” with Stephanie Daniel and Nicole Zezzo. My youngest and last baby will be one this spring (tears). I recently started my own business making custom clothing for children and women. I absolutely love doing it but, as we all know, the balancing act is real.

How can I find the time to dedicate to my business, to make it grow, while still being a mom to 4 young kids and a wife? I am hoping to pick up some great tips to help make this happen!!

To top off Friday evening, VIP ticket holders get to attend a Sip & Shop. We will get a 2-hour preview to the exhibitor hall. All while sipping on beverages and jamming with the DJ!! THIS. This is what I’m most excited about! The first exhibitor I will be visiting is none other than GroVia. We have cloth diapered our last two babies almost exclusively in GroVia diapers.

GroVia has an amazing online (Facebook) community that I am a part of, where even the founder is super active, inspiring, and supportive. I look forward to meeting some fellow Grovers, as well as the famous Kim Ormsby! And of course, picking up their MommyCon exclusive June & January Ice Cream print diapers and wet bag set.

Saturday Sessions

Saturday will be spent attending more sessions that catch my eye, as well as checking out all the other exhibitors, as not all of them will be open during the Sip & Shop.

One exhibitor, I’d like to check out is Precious Milk Drops. They make beautiful jewelry out of breast milk, among other things. I was able to provide breast milk for all 4 of my babies past one year, by exclusively pumping. What a journey that was! To memorialize it, I’d love to have something made that will remind me of it for years to come.

I am certain there will be so much more than I even expect. More great baby/children’s products, more education, more amazing moms. I am looking forward to every bit of it and the memories I will have! And I’m sure I’ll then be looking forward to MommyCon 2019!!

Sunday Sessions

While Sunday is the last day of this fun event, I’m still excited to check out a couple different sessions. I’d love to learn more about using Ring Slings in the Ring Slings 101 session presented by Moby.

I’ll also be checking out the session How Mommies Can Manage Their Start-Up Business and Full-Time Job with Genesis Emery. I’m totally into any advice on helping my business take off!
