I’ve been doing the Nutrisystem program for about 14 weeks now and I am still finding out new things about losing weight and making better choices.

Like eating that tray of taco dip just because you haven’t been in a good mood and really wanted to just veg out –probably not a good idea.

Eating an acceptable serving of taco dip with some chips, that might be a little better way to go.

Hitting a rough patch on Nutrisystem

If you’ve been following along, you know that the last two weeks of the program have been a bit rough for me.  And although I was holding steady, I think everything has finally caught up with me.  This week I have to report that I actually gained a pound.  Three weeks without the scale moving in the downward direction really does get you feeling like you are stuck in a rut, and makes you feel a little discouraged, but I’m not ready to give up yet!

I know I still have some improvements to make with some of my food choices (particularly my soda drinking habits). I have always thought that giving up soda would be terribly hard for me, and it has been, but I did manage to go the entire weekend without cracking open a can of my beloved Pepsi.  We actually have a Soda Stream, and I was able to substitute drinking that successfully.  Of course, now that I am at work today I am right back to drinking my soda.

My Nutrisystem goals for this week

So here is my goal for the next week to help get myself back on track: Limit soda consumption to no more than one soda every other day (then I can cut back further from there next week).

Also, I have still not used the new elliptical we got. I told my husband I wanted him to hook up the TV that is sitting in front of it so I at least don’t feel so bored while I’m down there, but he has yet to do that. I’m holding out hope it will happen soon as I have about 25 episodes of The Walking Dead to get caught up on so I can see what all the hype is about this show.

Program Starting Weight: 159 lbs

Weight loss this week: +1 lbs

Weight after week 14: 147 lbs

Total weight loss: 12 lbs
