Nutrisystem Week 14 Report – Gaining Perspective #NSNation

I’ve been doing the Nutrisystem program for about 14 weeks now and I am still finding out new things about losing weight and making better choices.

Like eating that tray of taco dip just because you haven’t been in a good mood and really wanted to just veg out –probably not a good idea.

Eating an acceptable serving of taco dip with some chips, that might be a little better way to go.

Hitting a rough patch on Nutrisystem

If you’ve been following along, you know that the last two weeks of the program have been a bit rough for me.  And although I was holding steady, I think everything has finally caught up with me.  This week I have to report that I actually gained a pound.  Three weeks without the scale moving in the downward direction really does get you feeling like you are stuck in a rut, and makes you feel a little discouraged, but I’m not ready to give up yet!

I know I still have some improvements to make with some of my food choices (particularly my soda drinking habits). I have always thought that giving up soda would be terribly hard for me, and it has been, but I did manage to go the entire weekend without cracking open a can of my beloved Pepsi.  We actually have a Soda Stream, and I was able to substitute drinking that successfully.  Of course, now that I am at work today I am right back to drinking my soda.

My Nutrisystem goals for this week

So here is my goal for the next week to help get myself back on track: Limit soda consumption to no more than one soda every other day (then I can cut back further from there next week).

Also, I have still not used the new elliptical we got. I told my husband I wanted him to hook up the TV that is sitting in front of it so I at least don’t feel so bored while I’m down there, but he has yet to do that. I’m holding out hope it will happen soon as I have about 25 episodes of The Walking Dead to get caught up on so I can see what all the hype is about this show.

Nutrisystem Success Report

Program Starting Weight: 159 lbs

Weight loss this week: +1 lbs

Weight after week 14: 147 lbs

Total weight loss: 12 lbs

I’m ready to use my new goals to really push forward.  Wish me luck!

I hope you will continue with me on my journey, as I blog each week of my experiences and success with Nutrisystem Nation over the next four months! You can find all of my Nutrisystem stories as I journey through this program by visiting this link: Jesica’s Nutrisystem Journey

Keep going! It's really tough when the scales go the wrong direction! But it's a long run not just a short term attempt!!! Don't beat yourself up over it! Reply

Good luck! You know the old saying "one step forward and two steps back"? that doesn't apply to you! You're doing so well! Reply

You know, it just might have been. :-) I was a little bloated last week, and have already lost that pound. Thanks! Reply

It's always disappointing to gain a lb, but great job doing well overall! Reply

Hang in there and keep working. The pound gain could be from anything, just don't let it turn into 2, 3, 5 or 10... It happens faster than you think so just have to start fresh each day. Reply

Let us have it.....
