Throughout the past 22 weeks (roughly), I have been using the Nutrisystem program and have honestly loved every minute of it. I have not once felt like I was “dieting” in the traditional aspect of it. I didn’t feel like I was going hungry, and I enjoyed eating all the same types of foods I was eating prior to starting the program.

The key to Nutrisystem is learning how to eat right. Eating the correct portions, and of course the right foods. It doesn’t necessarily mean giving up the foods you love, just eating them in the right way. Drinking water is a big key as well. Make sure you are always getting enough water no matter what program you are doing, or how you are trying to lose weight!

I am very excited that I get to tell you about another loss this week. I have lost another pound, which brings me down to a total of 18 pounds lost. It may not seem like much at all to some, but from where I started to where I am now…it is huge for me!

Take a look at my before and after pictures, and just see for yourself. You can see in my before picture (taken by my 5-year-old son so I apologize) that I have huge rolls of fat around my waist. In my after picture, they have disappeared! I wore the same exact shirt both times so you could see the difference.


I am so happy with the amount of weight that I have lost, words cannot even describe. I just feel better, and my confidence has greatly improved. It is such a great feeling to put on a pair of pants and have them feel like you need a belt to hold them up instead of being too tight.

I will take the lessons I learned while using the Nutrisystem program and keep them with me for a lifetime of better eating. It truly has been a great experience for me!

Nutrisystem Weight Loss Update

This blog post was originally written in 2013, and seven years later (Updated in May of 2020), I can happily say I’ve used the information I learned while on the Nutrisystem program to maintain my weight. I have not gained any of the weight back and have even lost a bit more fat while improving my muscle mass.

While I don’t think Nutrisystem is a long-term plan, I do think it is an excellent way to jumpstart your weight loss journey and can lead you on a path to lifelong success!
