Nutrisystem Week 3 Report – The Importance of Keeping Track #NSNation

This is my third week on the Nutrisystem program; and after a great start and a rocky second week, I am happy to stay things have improved a little over the third week as I am learning how to come into my stride with this program.

There are a few things I wanted to touch base on with this week’s report. This way if you decide to undertake a weight loss program of your own, you can learn from my mistakes.

One of those mistakes is not utilizing the food journal and keeping track of my daily intake. The reason this is a MUST, is because it really does help you see where you are getting your calories, and helps to make sure you are staying on track with whatever program you choose.

Over the past week, I have done a much better job of sticking with the Nutrisystem program than I did over week 2; however, my lack of reporting what I was eating and drinking did still leave me a bit surprised at the end of the week. As I got ready to give my week 3 report, and talk about what I ate and drank over this last week, I noticed something. My recycle bin was filled with empty soda bottles!

I was drinking more soda than I realized simply because I had not been keeping track of what I was doing.

The first week on the program I was able to completely cut out soda (it was hard but I did it). The second week, I had a really rough week with lots of eating out and basically not sticking to the program very well. This week, although I did try to stick to the program, I would sneak in an occasional soda here or there.

Keeping a food journal and tracking your daily intake is a really easy and simple way to help you control what you are putting into your body, and make sure you are sticking to any program you are following.

Success Report!

So, even with the extra sodas how did I do?  Not too bad actually!

Program Starting Weight: 159 lbs

Weight loss this week:  2 lbs

Weight after week 3: 154 lbs

Total weight loss: 5 lbs

As you can see, I lost two pounds this week. I don’t think that is all that bad and hopefully next week I can report even more weight loss for you!

I hope you will continue with me on my journey, as I blog each week of my experiences and success with Nutrisystem Nation over the next four months! You can find all of my Nutrisystem stories as I journey through this program by visiting this link: Jesica’s Nutrisystem Journey

2 pounds, awesome job!! I agree that it's important to really track things, especially when you;re first starting on the program. Like you said, things can really add up before you know it. Great job and welcome to the NS family! Reply
