I am very picky when it comes to selecting the right shoe for me, especially when it comes to my sandals (what woman isn’t, right?). I need sandals that not only are easy to slip on for when I want to quickly run in and out of the house, but also provide enough comfort to last me all day.
I have gone through many pairs of sandals over the years; some have been terrible to the point where my feet would just ache at the end of the day, and some have been really great. After my last pair of good sandals finally reached the “I can’t wear these anymore because they are so worn out” point, I knew it was time to find a really really good pair that would be comfortable, and last me through any type of walking I might do.
I chose not to buy the same kind I previously had because although they were comfortable, they tended to be very slippery on certain types of surfaces, and I always ended up getting dry, cracked skin, and calluses on my feet in the summer.
I recently heard about this new type of sandal that was supposed to be amazingly comfortable, and durable. I knew I had to check it out. The sandals are called Oofos, and I had a chance to try out a pair for myself this fall.

WHAT THE MOMMY BUNCH SAYS….
Typically when I get sandals, I have always gotten the thong type, so this time I figured I would try out slides to see if I liked those better or not. Unfortunately they didn’t have any slides in stock so I did still end up getting the thongs, but no worries. From the first time I slipped these on I could tell this was going to be a long term relationship. 🙂
The sandals are not only comfortable, it feels like you are stepping into a cloud. I now understand where they got the name for this shoe! My first reaction when I put them on was, “ooooh.” Yeah, it was really that good.
I did have the chance to put these to the test as well. The weekend after they arrived at my doorstep was our annual town tractor pull event. Since I volunteer for our local Lioness club I had to work the pie booth for this event all weekend, as well as work in the children’s area running the bouncy houses. Lets just say that being on my feet all day was not a problem. When working the pie booth I was on my feet for over three hours straight serving pie and ice cream (each day), and over at the children’s area I was on my feet for a few more hours walking around. At the end of each day my feet felt great. There was no fatigue or aching in my feet like I sometimes have when wearing my sneakers (I even have inserts in them and my feet still hurt).
Here is a picture of the sandals. They are a little dirty because I did test them out at a tractor pull after all, lol.
What do you think? Would you give these a try? Let us know in the comments!
