My mother-in-law is in the health care field and she has been pushing me for some time to consider going into the field myself.  She is a physician assistant (basically the same thing as a doctor but without the big title and big debt).  I have already gone through 7+ years of college getting my bachelor’s degree and now working toward my master in education.  I am really not too excited about going back to school for something else, plus the site of blood creeps me out, lol.

Although I’m not too interested in joining the health care field right now, there are options out there that I’ve found for people who might be interested; and some of the programs can be completed in less than a year.  One program that can be completed in as little as nine months is the medical administrative assistant program at Concorde Career Colleges.  If you are like me and don’t want to look at blood but want to work in the medical field this program could be a great fit.

Of course they offer many other programs at Concorde as well, such as a dental assistant, surgical tech, pharmacy tech, or physical therapy assistant.  All are great fields to enter, and most can be completed in a relatively short period of time.

What Concorde says….

“Your education should lead to employment. Our training programs are short, affordable, and hands-on, providing you with the education you need to succeed in the exciting healthcare community. Concorde Career Colleges have been training medical professionals for over 40 years. We offer healthcare training for some of today’s fastest growing healthcare careers.”

If you are interested in finding out more about the programs offered at Concorde, feel free to visit their website and check out all of the programs they offer in the health care field.  They also offer a live chat feature, so if you have any questions you can get them answered right away!

If you are already in the medical field and have any tips to offer please feel free to comment and let us know!
