A couple of months ago my son got some new shoes for school from Pediped. He just loves the shoes, and when asked, says they are really comfortable so he likes to wear them.  Recently, we got another pair of shoes for my son because he needed something that would work for gym class, and more as an athletic shoe.  We again received a pair of shoes from Pediped, in the Flex line, and are absolutely thrilled!  

We received Mercury, from the flex line:

 

When the shoes first arrived in the mail, my son was so excited to try them on he just couldn’t wait to get them out of the box!  He did laps around around kitchen and living room to “test them out.”  The shoes also came with a stopwatch, which he thought was so much fun to use.  

We also have a treadmill that my husband and I like to use, so my son thought these shoes would be perfect for using on the treadmill (my husband doesn’t allow shoes that have been worn outside to touch his treadmill, lol).  

Even though my son is only five, he of course wants to be just like mom and dad, so we let him run on the treadmill with his new shoes and try it out.  He thought it was so great he has deemed his new shoes his “treadmill shoes.”  Of course that would mean he never gets to wear them anywhere else, so we’ll see how that goes, lol.

WHAT THE MOMMY BUNCH SAYS…..

It is pretty obvious my son likes the shoes, but what do I think?  I really like the shoes as well.  I can’t tell you the comfort level, but my son says he likes them and they are comfortable.  I like that they come with an extra insert, called the Flex Fit System™, which allows children to adjust the fit of their shoes and prolong the length of wear.  According to Pediped, these insoles can reduce shoe size by almost half a size, extending the life of the shoe.  

I also think the shoes look good, and they seem to hold up well to a little boy who is pretty hard on his shoes.  The velcro enclosures are also nice.  Once my son finally learns how to tie his shoes we will move on to lace shoes, but until that time these are great because I don’t have to constantly tie his shoes for him!  

Overall the Pediped athletic line of shoes really impresses me.  They seem to really care about the health of your child’s feet by providing shoes that are specifically designed to support kids feet properly.  Pediped says the shoes are “Specially designed for your little athlete’s developing feet, Mercury provides flex grooves for maximum flexibility, a breathable mesh upper so the foot stays dry and comfortable and a heel cushion to protect against impact and distribute pressure evenly. Mommy Bunch ApprovedIf you are looking for a great gift to get your child, grandchild, niece/nephew, etc.; I would highly recommend the Pediped line of products.  They have great shoes that are designed with a child in mind.  They also have a new line of cold weather boots that would be great as a holiday gift (see below)!
