Holidays are around the corner and many colleges and universities will soon be coming to a close, summer session is about to take full swing, and then before you know it we will be back to fall again (I know, we have barely had spring and here I am talking about fall already!). The reason I say this, is because it is a great time to think about textbook rentals.
When I was in college one of the biggest expenses I faced was buying textbooks, even if I found them cheaper online, they were usually still really expensive. So as you or your kids are picking out courses for your summer and fall classes, think about renting textbooks instead of buying them. Why? You’ll save money. If you rent textbooks from a place like Book Rentals, you will pay less than half price to rent textbooks, and if you decide you want to keep the book instead of renting it, just pay the difference and the book is yours. You can even highlight in the book and still return it!
Returning the books doesn’t cost you anything either. Just simply use the pre-paid envelope that is provided to you when you receive your book and drop it in the mail! It really couldn’t be easier!
If you have additional tips on saving money while attending college, please let us know, we’d love to hear them!
