I received complimentary product from SheSpeaks/Lancôme, all opinions are my own.
About a month ago I was asked to use Lancome DreamTone in my skin care routine for at least four weeks and show my results. If I was brave enough to post a photo of myself with no makeup that is. Since I very rarely wear makeup anyway, I figured why not!
Here is what I was told about the Lancome DreamTone:
Lancôme DreamTone, a serum specially formulated to reduce the appearance of dark spots, uneven skin tone and color imperfections. DreamTone is the next generation in dark spot correction. This customized skin tone correcting serum is so powerful, 72% of women dare to bare their skin.*
The new DreamTone is 3 barely-tinted serums formulated to visibly correct dark spots, color imperfections and give you a more even-looking skin tone. It comes in 3 serums customized for your skin tone: 1- Fair, 2 – Medium, 3 – Dark.
The results:
IMMEDIATELY:
• 74% saw glowing skin*
7 DAYS:
• 70% noticed a more even skin tone*
4 WEEKS:
• 69% saw the appearance of dark spots reduced*
8 WEEKS:
• 78% saw color imperfections reduced*
*All results based on global self-assessments of women of multiple ethnicities in an 8-week study. 72% reflects 8 weeks of use.
Trying Lancôme DreamTone for myself
I received a full size bottle of the Lancôme DreamTone which retails for $98 for a 1.3 fl oz. bottle, and is available for purchase at Lancôme.com and department stores nationwide. The suggested use is to apply the product twice per day, in the morning and evening under your moisturizer for best results. I don’t often do much with my face in the morning so I ended up using this only once per day, after my evening shower.
Even though I didn’t use it twice a day, I still think the results were pretty good! I have lots of dark freckles on my cheeks, nose, and forehead, and I also have some red spots on my forehead that I seem to have gotten every time I became pregnant. I wasn’t sure if it would help with the red spots, but I wanted to see if the freckles would be reduced at all.
The first thing I noticed is that the serum is very silky smooth and absorbs quickly into your skin. It also has a great smell. After using it for about one week it seemed to make my skin a little brighter. After four weeks I did notice that the freckles appeared lighter in color, and my skin seemed less blotchy overall.
Here is my before and after picture. Unfortunately my original camera broke, so I wasn’t able to use the same camera for both shots but the images are both unedited. You can see in the images that my forehead does appear to have less dark spots, and the ones on my cheeks you can’t even notice anymore. I definitely think I will be keeping the DreamTone in my skin care routine!
