Sleeping Beauty - still as appealing today as the day it was made!

Recently I was sent a copy of Sleeping Beauty for review. Little did I know that it would become my daughter’s new favorite movie! This Disney classic has been around since 1959, yet is still as appealing today as it was back then!

Hopefully we all know the story of Sleeping Beauty…. “After being snubbed by the royal family, a malevolent fairy places a curse on a princess which only a prince can break, along with the help of three good fairies.” It is such a fun story, and my daughter just loves watching what happens to Aurora. She is just tickled that Aurora is called Briar Rose by the three fairies. I’m not sure why that in particular is so interesting to her, but she loves it.

This classic is definitely a great partner to Maleficent, which is also available on Blu-ray. Both films tell a different side of a much loved story, and Sleeping Beauty is the perfect film for any age.
