It takes 21 days to form a new habit, 21 days to change that one thing you’ve been meaning to change for good.
With busy schedules and pure exhaustion at the end of the day due to working all day and then fitting in quality time with the kids, I know that I’ve been skimping out on proper dental care. This is why I decided to take the Listerine 21-Day Oral Care Challenge – I hope to change my care routine for good!
I know that I haven’t been taking the best possible care of my teeth. Yes, I brush twice a day like I should. But sometimes I skip out on flossing (okay most times) because I’m just so exhausted by the end of the day that it feels like one more step to my already long day before I can head to bed. I occasionally use a mouthwash, but that hasn’t been consistent either. With the 21-Day challenge, I hope to change those two things!

The 21-Day Oral Care Challenge
By taking this challenge (and I hope you will take it with me), I am committing to rinsing my mouth morning and night with Listerine for 21 days. I also commit to flossing every night before bed.
In addition to my oral care challenge, I am also recommitting to my organization challenge that I started last year (life got busier and this just got away from me again).

Healthy Habits for a Healthy Life
Many people I know have already committed to changing their eating habits and really work on a healthier overall lifestyle. My family has already been working on this over the past year, and while we have done wonderfully well there is always room for improvement. We currently have cut back significantly on sugar intake, try to purchase local produce when we can, and eat primarily fresh foods (no processed foods).
Some of these things are still a work in progress, and this year I hope to completely eliminate processed foods from our diet while also increasing the amount of locally grown produce we are able to obtain. I really feel these small changes can have a big impact on our overall health – but it doesn’t stop there!
Oral health can affect your overall health!
Healthy eating is just one part of many aspects of an overall healthy lifestyle. Many people don’t realize just how important oral health is when it comes to an overall healthy lifestyle. According to Mayo Clinic, improper oral care can actually be linked to many heart disease problems!
Another huge reason I am taking this challenge is to make sure my oral healthy doesn’t negate some of these other healthy changes we have already made!
