The Best Organic Mattress For Comfort and Support

This blog post is sponsored by My Green Mattress, which we believe to be the best organic mattress. Opinions are my own.

There are many mattress companies on the market, and a ton of options to choose from within each company. It can be truly hard to figure out what mattress is best for you, especially if you are going to buy something online.

Will it be comfortable?
Will it provide enough support?
Are the materials safe?
What if I don’t like it, how can I return it?

All of these are really good questions to ask, and questions most people will consider when thinking about purchasing a new mattress. If you are looking for a green alternative to chemically produced synthetic memory foam or traditional springform mattresses, natural latex mattress is a great option.

Why Natural Latex

There are many reasons to choose a natural latex mattress, but the best organic mattresses combine natural products to give you extraordinary orthopedic support and alleviate pressure, while at the same time offering a safer alternative for those with chemical sensitivities.

Latex is resilient and is the most durable cushioning material available and will provide years of restful sleep without sagging. The cell structure of latex makes your mattress breathable, which means you will be cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.

Latex is also ideal for allergy sufferers since it is naturally hypoallergenic, dust mite resistant, and antimicrobial, which inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew. With no worries about chemicals, and no tossing and turning, you will sleep more deeply and awaken ready for a new day.  To learn more about the 100% GOLS Certified Organic Latex that is used in the My Green Mattress products, click here.

Difference Between Latex and Memory Foam

Natural latex rubber used in the best organic mattresses should be derived from the sap of the rubber tree, while memory foam is a chemically produced synthetic petroleum product. Natural latex is safer for people with chemical sensitivities, is more durable, and normally outlasts memory foam.

Most people find natural latex more comfortable as memory foam does not circulate heat effectively and has a sinking feeling. The latex in our mattresses is breathable, resilient and conforming for the best night’s sleep possible.

The Best Organic Mattress

We had the opportunity to try out the My Green Mattress, a natural mattress company offering handcrafted mattresses with the best organic and all-natural materials.

If you head to the My Green Mattress website, you can get an idea of how committed they are to customer satisfaction and the overall well-being of their customers. You can also read the story behind why these mattresses were developed in the first place — it all started with one little girl’s unique needs.

My Green Mattress Review

There are a few options you can choose from in the My Green Mattress line. The Pure Echo is their best seller and we probably would have chosen that one, however, we needed a smaller profile mattress for our daughter’s bunk bed. Luckily My Green Mattress offers bunk bed mattresses!

Shipping was really fast, and our mattress came folded up in a box and sealed in heavy-duty plastic.

Opening it was pretty simple. You just cut off the plastic (carefully so as not to damage your mattress) and the whole thing will pop open.

It was pretty lightweight as well, my 8 yr old daughter was able to help me lift it up to the top bunk pretty easily.

But the most important part — what did we think of the My Green Mattress?

My daughter loves it. In fact, I think she has been sleeping more deeply than she has in the past because she hasn’t woken up at night at all. Even with her younger sister sometimes waking up with night terrors.

I did take some time to climb all the way up there and lay on it myself as well — it wasn’t pretty, but I made it up there. 🙂 I thought it was super comfortable and very supportive. If we had purchased this mattress for ourselves, I know I would really like sleeping on it as well.

So far we really like the mattress as far as comfort goes. There was no odor or off-gassing when we initially opened it up, and my daughter loves having a mattress specifically designed to fit in her bunk bed.
