We just had a fun filled day at my dad’s land; hiking, 4 wheeling and enjoying the fresh air! We love taking the dogs up there with us to run wild and free, but of course, the aftermath of stink and dirt with them is unbelievable! We have taken the dogs to the groomers before, but that was a 4 hour endeavour, and quiet expensive! So,the question becomes; what is the best way to give a dog a bath at home?
Just look at this adorable guy, he sure was excited to play. Now comes the not so exciting part for him — the bath!
When Your Pet Needs A Bath
To help answer the question of what is the best way to give a dog a bath, International Veterinary Sciences has provided me with some Quick Bath to review and test out. All opinions expressed are solely and truthfully my own.
Well, Quick Bath are you up for the challenge?
For me, giving the dog a bath is always, “tomorrows” task, so for me, the best way to give a dog a bath is to just start!
After using Quick Bath I could tell right away that I loved the smell. It also lathered up fast and could immediately see Watson’s white coat brighten up! My one con to this product, though, is that it recommends letting the soapy lather sit for 5-10 min. If I am not mistaken most pets like to shake and escape the bathroom at any given moment. I do have some suggestions, though!
Here is a list of things you can do while you wait!
- Give your dog a therapeutic massage
- Tell your pet the story of how you met
- Clip toenails
- Brush pets teeth
- Take pictures of how sad they look š
Does anyone else’s dog act like this after a bath!?
Here is the after picture! Isn’t he gorgeous!
What about those days where a full out bath isn’t required?
Our boxer, Emmie does a good job keeping herself clean, but I like to make sure her head is extra kissable! We use the Quick Bath Wipes on her, just to freshen up her coat and give her a nice scent! The wipes are very thick and absorbent and perfect for a quick rub down. Just remember that you shouldn’t bathe your pets frequently, as it will interfere with the natural oils their coats need!
According to Quick Bath – “Quick Bath wipes are formulated with effective cleaners that remove bacteria and odors from your pets skin. Quick Bath wipes contain Vitamins A & E and Aloe Vera which promotes an overall healthy skin and coat while leaving your pet clean and shiny. Quick Bath wipes are pH neutral and alcohol-free.”
