Uncle Milton Toys has a great new line-up of toys just in time for the holiday season, and we were lucky enough to try out one amazing little toy that will have any little boy or girl excited to try it for themselves!
The Anteater Bug Vac is one of the newest toys in the Milton line, and we had a blast playing with it!
Unfortunately, at this time of year in Wisconsin, the ants have decided to call it good and go into hibernation (or wherever ants go), but the Box Elder bugs were still around to let us play for a bit!
The Anteater Bug Vac is used like a vacuum cleaner, and suck the bugs up through the anteater’s nose/mouth. The bugs are not harmed, and are safely deposited inside the clear collection container.
Once you have your bugs collected, you can remove the container to take a look at what you caught. The top of the container has a hinged door, which means the bugs cannot escape until you let them go.
What is really great about this toy, is that it is a learning tool as well. The container not only allows you to look at your bugs, but it can magnify them with the built in magnifying lens.
Kids can take a look at the bugs with a much larger view than they would normally get! As a science gal myself, I find this to be a great gateway tool to interest young minds in the sciences!
Catching bugs was a lot of fun, but looking at that was just as much fun! My kids really enjoyed using this and we can’t wait until spring when we can look at even more bugs!
