This summer has been extremely hot, to say the least.  The weather has been warmer than usual, dryer than usual, and just downright uncomfortable (at least in my opinion).  We have been trying to beat the heat a variety of ways.  We have gone swimming, played in the sprinklers, gone to waterparks, and everything we can think of to still enjoy the summer and our time outdoors without getting too hot.  Of course all this time outside means our skin is exposed to the sun’s harmful rays, and we need a way to prevent skin burns.  Sun block can be rather expensive, and I never really know what kind to get that is safe for my kids without a lot of unnecessary added ingredients.  Then I had the chance to try out the AquaSport sunscreen from All Terrain.  This is an all natural sunscreen that has no harmful ingredients.

All Terrain is trying to debunk the myth that if a product is natural it doesn’t work as well as a chemical-based product.  All Terrain’s products have won numerous awards for their natural formulas, safety and efficacy (see The Buzz).  Customers can trust that whether they are in the back-country, backwoods or backyard, All Terrain’s products will work.  The products are developed by and for outdoor enthusiasts who expect high performance from themselves and from the products they use.  They are laboratory-tested and/or field-tested to meet high standards.  The ingredients are natural and sold in environmentally-friendly packaging that is recycled, recyclable or biodegradable.

AquaSport SPF30 Lotion is a highly effective, safe, natural, oxybenzone-free sunscreen providing full-spectrum UVA (skin cancer) and UVB (sunburn) protection. Proven effective after 80 minutes in water, AquaSport is very water/sweat resistant. Using non-nano, un-coated zinc oxide, it is non-whitening, non-greasy, fragrance-free and won’t cause eye sting. It is great for athletes, active people and kids who might get some in their eyes.
– Rated “Top Sunscreen” by Environmental Working Group.
– AquaSport is an Editors Pick from Sport Diver Magazine “Stayed on well in wet and sweaty conditions, and no testers burned. As easy to apply as any of the common chemical brands. A terrific find, we plan to use nothing else from here on out.”

The sunscreen seems to have worked for us so far.  When we’ve used it, no one has come away with any burns, and we spend a lot of time in the water.  I also have very pale skin, so I need to use a lot of sunscreen, or something that works really well, and this seems to do the trick.  The only time I have burned this summer was when I forgot to use something on my skin!  Why does it seem like we always remember to put this stuff on our kids, but we never take care of ourselves as well, lol.  AquaSport was also a top rated sunscreen by consumer reports, which in my opinion means I can trust this to work!
