I’m a cloth diapering, cloth wipe using mama, but that doesn’t mean when we go on outings or are traveling that I’m totally against using ‘regular’ wipes. In fact, I actually prefer not to use cloth wipes when we are out and about as it is just too hard to get/keep the wipes wet enough for proper use. I also don’t really have the room to carry around a spray bottle (and how inconvenient); so what does a natural living mom like me do when cloth wipes are not an option? I’ve actually found an amazing new product called WaterWipes that claim to be the purest baby wipes in the world.

A baby wipe as close to natural as possible is high on my priority list since we do travel a lot, and I don’t want any nasty chemicals or additives reaching baby’s skin if I can avoid it. The WaterWipes are 99.9% water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract (added as an anti-microbial agent).

What do I think of WaterWipes?

I love that the wipes are nearly all water with only a very small amount of a natural anti-microbial agent added. We have been using them for a couple of weeks now and they work just as good, if not better than many of the major name brands of wet wipes on the market. I didn’t notice any distinct smell of any kind (good in my book), and overall I think they are great to have for traveling. Of course they are not warm like our cloth wipes are at home, but for on the go what can you expect. 🙂 I do think these are the best natural wipes you will find on the market.

Not only have we used these for baby’s bum, but they also work great as wet wipes for my older kids who seem to always get into some sort of mess. Since these wipes are so pure, I don’t mind using them on their faces to clean up food messes, or on their hands to wipe of any sticky goo — wherever it may come from.
